Jenson's Football Achievements
From Year 7 to Year 11, Jenson‘s ability and success in football has taken off! On Tuesday 2nd November he played a full 90 minutes for Stourbridge FC’s first team against Bromsgrove Sporting. He is the youngest player to represent the first team!
‘When I was six years old I started playing Sunday league for Halas Hawks before getting picked up for Wolves at about seven or eight years old. I love the competitive aspect of the game. Also, my Dad and Mum used to take me to football camps and take me over the fields to practice. My older brother used to play before me as well, so going to his games made me want to play.
I train Monday and Thursday nights and all day on Tuesday. Games are on Saturdays. I make sure my school work is either completed in school or on the days I get off.
My most memorable achievements so far are: winning the national cup with Stourbridge, meaning we were the best JPI team in the country. Following that, being the youngest first team starter for Stourbridge’s first team and getting a scholarship with West Bromwich Albion for the next two years are my biggest achievements. My dream is to play in the Premier League.
I have two big games against top clubs coming up soon, Chelsea and Arsenal.’
Well done to Jenson for such a successful career at so young!
