Parent Pay
Paying Online
PARENTPAY is an online secure payment and information system for parents to pay for trips, revision guides and school meals using their Credit or Debit Card.
ParentPay offers you the freedom to make payments whenever and wherever you like, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - safe in the knowledge that the technology used is of the highest internet security available.
Parents have a secure online account accessed via www.parentpay.com, activated using a unique username and password which you will receive via a letter when your child starts at Redhill. Before you begin to activate your account you will need an active email address - this will be used for account verification and login purposes. You will be prompted to change the activation username and password to your email address and own memorable password. Please keep these safe and secure as you will use these in the future to log in to your account. If you have more than one child at our School or children at other ParentPay schools, you can create a single account login for all your children.
Making a payment is straightforward and ParentPay holds a payment history for you to view at a later date. No card details are stored in any part of the system. Once you have activated your account you can make online payments straight away.
If you have lost your activation letter or have not received it please contact the School for a copy.
Paying by Cash
For Parents who need to continue making payments by Cash they are able to do so by using the PayPoint network at local convenience stores. For your nearest store visit http://www.paypoint.co.uk/locator.aspx.
Trip and activity information letters will carry a unique barcode allowing parents to make cash payments at their local PayPoint store. You will also be able to pay for school meals using the PayPoint facility. A plastic card will be issued to you to make cash payments for school meals at local PayPoint stores. The first card is free of charge; however, any lost or damaged cards will be charged at £1.50 each. Payment cards take up to two weeks to arrive but we can issue a barcode letter as an interim measure.
If you wish to use this method, please contact the Finance Office who will arrange for a card to be sent to you. Please note that you will need a PayPoint card per child and payments can take 48hrs to be credited to the account.
For more information please visit the FAQ section on the parent Pay website via https://www.parentpay.com/parent-account-faqs.
Cashless Catering
Redhill School uses cashless catering. This means that no cash is accepted at the tills for food and drink at lunchtime and break time.
The system incorporates latest technology and eliminates the need for pupils to carry cash throughout the day. It is a biometric system that uses an algorithm of a child’s thumb to recognise them at the tills.
Parents/Guardians must return their Biometric Consent Form and their child then has their Biometric identification taken ready for the start of Year 7.
There are 3 ways to add credit to your child's account:
1. ParentPay - At the start of the academic year all parents/guardians received Usernames and Passwords to access this online payment system (www.parentpay.com). You can pay by Credit or Debit Card and the account is credited in ‘real time’.
2. PayPoint - You are able to credit your child’s catering account with cash by going into any PayPoint shop and using a PayPoint card which is issued by Redhill on request. If you wish to use this method, please contact the Finance Office who will arrange for a card to be sent to you; this takes up to 2 weeks. Please note that you will need a PayPoint card per child and payments can take 48hrs to be credited to the account. You can find your local stores by visiting http://www.paypoint.co.uk/locator.aspx . The store closest to the school are located at One Stop - Hungary Hill, Singh Stores – Hagley Rd.
3. Revaluation Machine - Your child will be able to use the Revaluation Units located in two areas in the School, in the Dining Room and outside the Finance Office. By entering their ’thumb biometric’ or pin number and inserting the accepted tender listed below into the machine their account will be topped up. £20, £10, £5 notes, £2, £1, 50p, 20p, 10p 5p coins. (Please note - copper coins are not accepted)
Our preferred methods of payment are either by ParentPay or PayPoint as this will ensure that their lunch money is being spent on lunch. The daily spend limit is defaulted to £5 but can be increased if requested through the Finance Office in School.
Any child in receipt of Free School Meals will automatically have a credit of £2.40 which can only be used at lunchtime. If you wish your child to purchase food or drink at break time you can use one of the above methods to top up their account.
