A Wonderful Week for Food and Nutrition
It has been a fantastic week for the Food and Nutrition department. Years 7, 8 and 10 have been working really hard on their practical tasks.
Year 7 demonstrated excellent knife safety skills using the bridge & claw technique for chopping and preparing fresh fruit to produce a nutritious fruit salad.
Year 8 made pasta salads. Miss Reeve and Mrs Condlyffe were delighted to see so many students choosing to add tuna to layer their pasta salad pots! the Eatwell Guide encourages people to eat more fish in the daily diet!
Year 10 practised high-level cooking skills to make and style Italian Panna Cotta dessert with a homemade raspberry coulis ahead of their GCSE year 11 practical assessments!
