Letter From Headteacher

Dear Parents/ Guardians and Pupils

I would like to inform you all I have made the decision that this will be my final year at Redhill and I will be retiring as Headteacher at the end of the summer term. After completing 41 years in the teaching profession, I feel it is now time for me take up new challenges outside of school, perhaps at a slower pace.

I have invested the majority of my career across many roles in the school and enjoyed working both in and out of the classroom with all students and parents over the past 35 years. The success of the school is due to the partnerships that we have built with all our parents and the community. These partnerships support all the staff in school to ensure that every pupil is successful over their five years at Redhill.

I know that the Stour Vale Academy Trust and Redhill’s Governing body will appoint a new Headteacher who will work closely with you, as parents, to ensure that the school continues to grow.

Can I take this opportunity to thank you all for the contributions that you have made to being part of Redhill while I have been in post, it has been much appreciated. I have loved working in the school every day and I will miss the staff, pupils and parents. I will also be keenly watching the school grow further successes in the future.

Information on the appointment of a new Headteacher for September will be communicated to you over the next term.

Best Wishes to you all

Miss C McGrail
